I'm so glad you like it! The leaves are stitched with DMC light effects thread, which is a huge pain to stitch with but the look is SO worth the trouble!

I'll be back later with a picture of my lovely bunny hoop on my hoop wall!

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!

Well Average_fan and I have been going through a stressful couple of weeks/months thanks to Royal Mail.  She sent me a hoop Royal mail dutifully returned it (very slowly) to sender without doing the all important delivery bit.
However, my swap partner turned out to be a force to be reckoned with because she turned out this delightful hoop for me as a replacement.
It is of Red Riding hood or Rottkappchen, which is my partners favourite German tale.  I like the Brothers Grimm tales a lot.  So this hoop will be very dear to me too.
So on to the stitching

Look at how wonderfully furry the wolf looks and I think the stitches capture his bad intents perfectly.  Meanwhile red riding hood has a beautifully stitched and spangled (beads) cloak.  I absolutely love it and cant wait to get it up on the wall.
Thank you so much Average_fan for this beautiful hoop and for your patience and ability to create another lovely design for me.

How wonderful!! It's beautiful and a bit mysterious. I'm so happy that it arrived safely!

That's a great hoop and certainly worth the wait!  I hope the orginal hoop finally shows up on one of your doorsteps!!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

The first hoop just arrived yesterday. Well not exactly at my doorstep, but my mailman at least put a slip in the box to tell me where to fetch it.
Royal Mail said the addressee isn't none and wrote "Not xxx road", but the address was correct. Stupid mail!  Angry
But at least the other hoop arrived correctly and quickly!

Despite my shenanigangs with the mail, I'll subtly hint for a next round too Wink
