I am getting ready to go to Australia at the end of the month.  I think the transition from Alaskan winter to Australian summer is going to make me melt. In hopes of being somewhat comfortable and cute I made two dresses. I found this tutorial http://boredandcrafty.com/?p=1211 and was inspired. It is super easy to follow and the dress comes together fast.

The first dress I made is from a long skirt that I had in my stash. It is most like the infinity dress since the straps are long. Here is one way to wear it:

front

back

The second dress is from a $2 thrift store skirt. The skirt only had elastic in the back, so I put elastic in the front waist band. The straps on this dress are much shorter since the skirt was not as full.

look it has pockets Smiley

Love the first one!

And you look just like my friend Sarah, minus the tattoos she has.

great dresses, love them all, but you will need to cover up, wear sunblock, and stay in the shade, with that much skin showing you will burn, esp in the middle of the day.
Have a fantastic time!

Scrappy Sue- Not to worry, I plan on being sun smart. Definitely don't want to end up burned.

Love them both! Australian summers can be scorching hot, depending on where you're travelling...
