These bookmarks were inspired by Vekiki's awesome broken-book mark post. I new I had to swipe the idea as soon as I saw the great ones she made Smiley.

I cut out rectangular pieces of felt then dug into my bin-o-junk for some bits and bobs to sew and glue on. Some of the pieces are stitched on using my sewing machine. The buttons are glued on and I also used some washi tape.

Here they be...



And a couple close-ups...





These were given away as little extras in swap packages. They were fun and simple to make! I will be doing more soon.

These are really pretty, but I think they might make better tags than bookmarks... I would be worried about getting button imprints squished into my pages if a book were kept shut too long or mishandled. Without the buttons, I think they are amazing bookmarks, and I am itching to have my own now Smiley
