I made this for my partner in the most recent pinterest swap.  I really like this and intend on making one for myself. I decided that I would only use the supplies I have on hand ( mostly because I have too many supplies) so I used some stick on oak veneer that I had left over from another project and stuck two pieces together to make "wood" It ended up giving the whole thing an interesting detail with a line across each piece of wood.

The inspiration for this came from Coryographies shop on etsy. I decided instead of making polymer clay books I would print out the covers of real books, so I found a site that had artistic covers from the 20's and 30's and made them realllly small. I printed on glossy paper because I can get more detail that way. I then put a little blob of apoxie sculpt on the inside of each book to represent paper. I then painted it added the hardware and books and voila! A bookcase necklace.

I absolutely love this, who wouldn't want one of these. I definitely would have had trouble parting with it. The veneer you used looks amazing I totally thought it was a wood project.  Shocked
