Beautiful Edel!

The end of the year is relatively meaningless on my quilt to do list.  It just keeps growing.  I've decided it isn't really stash if I have a plan for it.  And it isn't a WIP if I haven't cut into it yet.  So, neither my stash nor my WIP pile are out of control.  It is the planned projects that are doing me in!

I have made a huge push to get things done over the past month.  I have to say it is a great relief to move them from the flimsy pile to the stitch the binding pile.  I have 3 in that category that WILL be done in the next week.  It is an even greater thrill to have them done!

Maybe we need to do a challenge.  Something like picking one off of some one's list and challenging them to finish it.

That's way too specific for me, personally, I want to work on what I want to work on Cheesy But maybe after the first of a year we could have a challenge to finish something off of your list. How about by Feb 1st? Everyone that finishes something off their list can be entered into a drawing and I'll get a prize for the winner! And we'll have a new thread by then, too!

I agree it is too specific.  But... I can't seem to work on a quilt unless it is "telling me what to do" (I am inspired by something) or I have a hard deadline.  I have a few things I've been dragging around for a couple years now that have met neither requirement so having some one crack the whip would probably be a good thing.

lol, how about a goal of one of your oldest wips? That way there's a bit of leeway but you can get something older done? I agree, I am also usually better with deadlines! (says the girl with late swap blocks and a Christmas present quilt still not finished)

I got 10 out of 12 projects done 4 quilts, 2 purses, and 4 overnight bags. Well the overnight bags aren't totally done, just have to make and add handles. The overnight bags are for my nieces christmas present. I need to finish them today, cause we are celabrating christmas tomorrow. I always wait till the last minute. Lol

I would love this as a challenge, I am like 'Alwaysinmyroom' I loose interest too after the top is done. I have a log cabin top that I started well before my DD was born (She turns 18 in January!)..I finished the top at least 5 years ago, as in I dragged out all of the blocks and finally sewed them together, but it is still sitting waiting...

and waiting

OK--oldest WIP...I keep notes on all of my quilts so I will have to go through and see what it is...I think it might be my Pink Pandora quilt from 2001... Cheesy
