sera--love graphic patterns!  The black is put nicely to use!  It gives the quilt movement!

melly--awww--what a cute print!  I love that you can use either side since both are fun and interesting!

The pattern is called waterwheel variaton. I got it from the quilters cache.
thanks for all the compliments, I'm really happy how it turned out. Nothing what I expected.

Next on my list is 4 overnight bags for my nieces. I think they are going to be quilted, and mabye appliqued. I have to make sure I have enough heat n bond left. I had a roll of it but the cats got into it. Lol

So I am making giant stars following this tutorial  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tkm3nCferp4

I wasn't very careful and instead of having 25 inch squares, I have 25 x 26 and other random sizes.  It is already going to be wonky.  I am just trying to decide if I should add or cut...  I'm assembling them in a 9 patch ... sort of.

ha, fun! I would probably trim them to the same size if possible, even if that meant they were all going to be 24.5 x 24.5. Otherwise I'd go bonkers when I had to piece them together. Can't wait to see what it looks like!

Jenny is so fun and terrific...her whole family is!  I have enjoyed her tutorials and that is one that looks interesting and fast!

I would also make everything the same size even if it is not the size it is suppose to be.. Cheesy

Id make em all the same size. 26x26 or even 25 x26. If its wonky already maybe the rectangle could be cool.

*and what a slick way to make hst's

Ah... but therein lies the problem.  If I trim them all to 25 inches then I cut off a LOT Of points.  And while I don't care if my corners don't match and I am good with losing the ends of the points, I am not sure that I am good with hacking an inch off the end.  So I will probably shim them up  to 26 or 28 or else I'll sew on the between blocks and trim down or...   maybe I will rotate them....  I don't know yet.  And that is why my WIP pile gets so big.  I'd just cleared out the entire pile hanging on my railing... 3 tops completed (1 to the quilter, 1 pillowcased and ready to tie, 1 ready to baste and quilt) and now I have this one hanging on in that once and briefly gloriously empty space.

I fully intended to make all of the projects on my list.  But life happened.   Cry  Even with all the craziness that I've been through this year, I managed to finish one quilt!  WOO HOO!  It was quick and easy.  Here's the link:
