I made this altoid tin shrine, dedicated to my grandma, for my sister.  I love shrines but haven't completed one until now. This is my first attempt at making anything out of an altoids tin.
After sanding most of the paint off, I used Martha Stewart's metal primer.
I put one of my favorite quotes/sayings on the front "Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."

On the interior, I included a few items representative of my grandma's interests - cooking/baking, gardening, sewing. I had some blue floral fabric of hers, so I included a piece of that.

I was really tempted to keep this pocket shrine for myself but I think most arts & crafts are best when shared  Smiley  So, I sent it off in the mail today.  Besides I already have a telephone table/box that I'm in the process of converting into a shrine.

This is such a sweet project. The quote is very special. I'm sure your sister will cherish it.
