Wow, Kookaloo, you're on a roll! I really love that stitch that you're using for the cardigan, and especially the colors! Do you know if you can recreate that stitch with crochet?

I'm sorry but I have no idea how to make something similar in crochet.
For the garter parts (the ridges), i would think maybe sc in the back loops. For the dropped stitches, maybe triple crochet.
I've never converted anything to crochet, but i think those could maybe do think.

Hm, I'm thinking you're right about the sc for the garter stitch, but instead of triple crochet, I think a solomon's knot stitch would probably be closer. It's something I'll have to experiment with. I think I have a weekend project!  Grin

We're approaching the home-stretch ya'll!

And with that in mind, here are some themes for November.

New Mexico Aspens by AluminumDryad, on Flickr

Color: Brown
Pattern: Trees, wood, or forest themed.
For: Someone who needs to be cheered up.
Challenge: Has there been a swap recently that intrigued you? Make something that fits the theme, even if you didn't get to participate. (Or you could just get your NaNoWriMo novel done.  That's like destashing brain space, right?)

Well, since someone has to get November started, here's another lapghan (although I finished this in October...)

I need to get out of my granny-square rut and start in on the Christmas sewing.

I made this bracelet and ring to send to my sister-in-law. They were both really easy to make. This is a link to their post that has links to the tutorials I followed.

Everything was from stash and was mostly just made from scraps.

I made this cute little hat for a friends daughter. She's less than a year old but as bigger than average so I'm hoping it fits her. I made my own flower up rather than using the one in the pattern Smiley

Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best

Great flowers, ya'll - both the ring and the beanie.

I am super stoked!  My old roomie and I just spent the last hour or so planning a crafty get-together to assembly line make a bunch of Christmas presents, and the best part is with our stashes combined we're only going to have to buy extra glue, felt, and pens.  The only downside is that our schedules don't combine until December, so I'm just going to have to work on other projects to work off all the energy from our planning session.

What a great idea, Gaudiknigth! I want to do something like that.
Grin . Lovely  lapghan, too - it is the season for them. And I love the colors in the bracelet, Melerific. It reminds me of summer.

that1girl--you must have a large collection of crochet and knit patterns!  I love the shawl and the baby hats!!

Also--the weeping angel puppet is perfect for the Dr. Who craftalong!  You should post it there as well...wow...are you doing more Dr. Who puppets?  Is it a series?

Your doilies are so pretty...you have such nice tension on your fine thread crochet!  Lovely job...
