What are the benefits to using wool felt?

1. It doesn't pill like acrylics.
2. It takes needles far better.  Acrylic really shows needle holes...they don't "heal" as well as the ones on wool.
3. Dirt can often be more easily wiped off since the wool is a fiber.
4. Wool has antibacterial properties which means it won't mildew.
5. Its a more hypoallergenic choice (you know as long as the person isn't allergic to wool)...but its less likely to attract dust mites so for peeps like me with hay fever and a dust allergy...its a better choice.

And its just so lovely and thick and feels great to the touch.  It feels sturdy.  Cheesy

Thanks rlynn, I'll consider that if I'm ever in need of felt.

So jealous of the hoops!  I NEED hoops!  I am in the middle of two claims in a different swap and am angeling for another.  After I get caught up I may need to stalk the thread and make a claim or two.  Must remember to make sure hoops are on my list  Wink

wool felt also doesn't pull apart like the synthetic stuff does

wool felt is also made from a renewable resource - unlike synthetic felt which is made from fossil fuels

I received my awesome package the other day from rlynn! Here are the goodies:

1. Bird Note Cards!! Adorable and perfect for including in future craft swaps to my partners. Love them! (Sorry about the glare - office lights + camera phone=yucky)

2. Fabric bracelet! I wanted to show both sides of this - plus the awesome orange polka dot detail! I am not totally obsessed with these and wants tons more. So cool!

3. Cat toy for kitty. As you can see by kittys cone of shame, it's been a rough few months for the little guy, but this toy has brought him so much joy. It's nice to see him bouncy and happy again.

Thanks again for claiming me!
