I bought a daypack for our upcoming trip in Oct/Nov to Mexico.  We are going to Patzcuaro, location of the largest Dia de los Muertos celebration in the country!  I'm so excited ... and I embroidered my backpack especially for the trip  Cheesy

I used metallic thread for the lady's jewelry, her drink, and also the candle at the top of the backpack.  It's not as hard to work with as everyone claims, so use it if you want!

That backpack is super cute!  You're going to have a great time.  I can barely fathom beginning a project months in advance like this...much less completing it as you did.  Great job!

Beautiful work! And good for you for setting a project for yourself and finishing it so far in advance. Have a nice trip!

While we have the gift of life, it seems to me that the only tragedy is to allow part of us to die - whether it is our spirit, our creativity, or our glorious uniqueness.           Gilda Radner
