I pinned a tute on doing a beaded blanket stitch a couple weeks back, thought this ornament was the perfect time to try it out!

I made this for my partner in the Stocking Swap R7 along with several other handmade goodies.  It was one of my fave items out of the whole package (other than the awesome Teesha Moore stocking I made for her!).  Made with red felt, white felt, sequins with gold buttons sewn on to keep them in place, rick rack to decorate, and a tassle from home dec clearance a while back I've been hoarding.  The hanger is made from red, green, and white embroiderly floss braided and sewn in place.

I LOVE the look of the beaded blanket stitch, and will definitely use it again.

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome!

This is darling. I'm in the groove of ornament making at the moment and I love this idea. Thanks for sharing!

This looks wonderful - mind if I steal it for future ornaments myself?

Oh, please do Smiley  I'd love to track down all kinds of tassels and felt colors and make an entire tree full of these!
