Swap name: One Tiny Doctor Who Thing Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: mandymo13
Sign-up date range:12/21/11-1/11/12
Date to send item by: 2/1/12
Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): No
Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES (Lilak Tygress)
- Is at least 18 years old: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES
- If within the US, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
- If outside the US, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

I reserve the right to refuse anyone. If you have feedback that shows a history of incomplete packages, very late sending, ill-communication, lack of DC #'s, etc. I may refuse you. I want this to be a flake-free swap!

Details of swap:
Each participant will be required to send out One Tiny Doctor Who themed item, measuring no more than 4x4. Your item should be physically small BUT, it should also be something that you can craft with a high level of skill. Even if it is a fairly simple/easy item for you to make, please embellish so as to represent the best of what you can craft. (For example, if you wish to make a coin purse, you could embroider, add beading, stencil, or take any other steps to make it a really special piece.)

* You will receive only one partner.
* You may only send that partner ONE Tiny Doctor Who craft
* All items must be 4"x4" or smaller in their natural state.

How do you know if your idea is "tiny?" Examples: A coin purse is tiny; a clutch purse is not. A pair of earrings/pendant is tiny. A trinket box is tiny; a pencil box is not. If you're not sure if your idea qualifies as "tiny," ask your organizer!

What does in their natural state mean? That means that if the object was resting on a table, it would be 4x4. A book for example that had a cover 4 square, would count as a OTT, even though when you open the book it could be 4x8, because in its natural state, a book lays closed.

For a wonderful swap experience, communication is the key. Please make sure you are communicating with you partner. Be sure that your partner is still communicative before sending your item to them. Further, it would be nice if you would post in this thread at least once a week.

If you want to participate, PM information to organizer:

Name of swap
Craftster username
Email address
Your real name
Mailing address including the country
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country?
Confirm that are at least 16 years old or, if not, that you have moderator approval(YES/NO)

Do you have access to a camera and agree to post pictures of what you receive in the gallery and take pictures of what you send (just in case)?
Do you agree to post regularly (once a week minimum) in the thread and and keep in good contact with your partner and organizer?

Do you prefer the classic or the current Doctor Who series?
Favorite Doctor(s):
Favorite Companion(s):
Favorite Villain(s)/Monster(s):
Favorite Episode(s):
Any Favorite Quote(s):
Do you have any least favorites (Doctor/Companion/Character/Episode etc)?

What crafts do you admire?
Is there anything you would especially like to receive?
Is there anything you would NOT like to receive?

I might join - even though I don't know a thing about Doctor Who - but a friend of mine is a great little fan!  Cheesy  (I might give her the swap item!)

I handcarve stamps, knit and have organic catnip.

Dammit! I was going to hold off on any more swaps for awhile, but I don't think I can ignore this one. Gotta love a little Doctor!

I will have to keep my eye on this swap Smiley I just moved and start my job at the beginning of January, and I have another swap I want to finish before making other commitments... so we will see how the first week of Jan goes before I begin signing up for anything else.

Me too.  I said something to my bf about this swap and he gave me a really disapproving look.  But it's one small thing with a really long crafting time.  I think I'm going to work on my questionnaire tonight or tomorrow.
