you have THE most gorgeous dreads. i'll try to find a link i saw somewhere on here... it was really informative on fake dreads, adding them to real ones, etc.

GlitterInfection, spelf, jm2luver21>>awwwww shucks!  Thanks!

I'm thinking I can probably just hook up a couple of fake dreads to some little snappy barrettes and attach them to my scalp since I usually wear a scarf to tie my real ones back with or just pile them on top of my head.  I haven't found the tutorial on how to make the fake dreads yet.  I imagine their made out of a dyed wool roving with a lot of backcombing and twisting and felting?

jm2luver21>>  please post it if you find it!!

ragamufyn:
Why don't you try sewing them onto the tips of your dreads? If your making them yourself, leave some string (or whatever it is your using) to play with at the top of the dread and then use it to sew it to the tips of your dreads... That might work. I really have no idea because I've never tried it.

Also why don't you just try wrapping some of your dreads with embroidery floss? That stuff comes in tons of colors and isn't permanent like hair dye.

Comment someone asked a few pages ago on wearing hats.

If you ride a motorcycle or scooter, and you want dreads, be prepared to have to buy a new helmet! Since I had hair added on after the dreads, it was worse for me, but my helmet size went up *TWO* sizes - from L to XXL. I look like an alien with it on because it's so huge.

I can't even get the old helmet on past my forehead. (I'm talking full face helmet)

Just a quick FYI: the search word I used to find that link was "falls" insead of "dreads". If anyone is looking for fake dreads,"falls" may be a better word to google. I don't know much about 'em just dig it when ladies rock 'em.
