My new place has rather high ceilings.  I created this snowflake mobile to hang over our table. Hopefully it is high enough that the cat will not bat at it.  Wink She seemed very interested when I was making it.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.

It's really pretty! What did you make the snowflakes out of?

I love it!  Of course, that's not just because I love snowflakes in general.  It's lovely.  I just convinced my kids to help me cut out dozens of snowflakes to hang from our ceiling on strings, but it's not nearly as nice as your mobile.  And I assume you didn't have all sorts of little bits and scraps all over your floor when you finished!

I have boxes of vintage piano music.  Some as old as 1890's!  PM me if you'd like some!

Awh Thanks guys  Roll Eyes
It was really pretty easy and I am quite happy with it.
The snowflakes themselves are made of foam. I picked them up, pre-cut at Hobby Lobby.  (You can see that half of them have a round hole in the center. That is because they were designed to be made into picture holding ornaments).
I covered the snowflakes in good old Elmer's glue and then dipped them in either blue or white glitter. (yes there was glitter everywhere)
Since the snowflakes are really lightweight I just strung them together using some white thread. The snowflakes already had holes in the top.
The end of each string was then tide to a piece of white plastic canvas. (remove the cat from the room before attempting this step.)
I then stuck it to the ceiling using four push pins, one through each corner of the canvas.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.
