We do not need a supplies edition really...We all have Supplies we want and wish for and anyone can claim for crafts or supplies and or both at anytime....

Yes, Ongoing swaps are a MAJOR amount of work and because they are ongoing tons of time and Feb normally-Nov is mental fast LOL....If you all really want supplies then when you make your list you ask for them over crafts and I will bank that the gals jump on that...and who knows you will find that you love maybe sending some supplies and getting a crafted item you were really wanting OR you can craft an item and get supplies OR send and receive supplies...easy peasy...Just have to stay on your toes with claims...easy peasy.....

OWS is easy, you must make your wish list BEFORE you make any claims
you have 14 days to ship from the day you claim ( not the following)
You have to send the DC or a copy of the overseas shipping ( if shipping out of your own country when you post a pic of the shipping receipt you can claim again as to waiting for it to show)
you have 5 days to post pics and or the sender can if asked BEFORE hand

easy peasy

work on your wish list asap and get the round 78 questionnaires in so you can be right there for the 12:01 opening of the first swap of the new year Smiley

I for one LOVE supplies and I LOVE to send supplies so that is never an issue with any of the OWS gals

Those interested need to try OWS.  I watched the swap for about 3 months before I finally did join.  I am hooked.  I did take a break for several months but will be back for January.  I love to claim and send supplies packages as well as get supplies as a claim.  You can put a lot of detail in your list such as colors, fabric yarn etc.  It is also easy to work around life in general. Claim  for supplies and they are out the door or you can work on a crafted item.  Since it is your choice and usually 1 crafted item it works out well.  I have alot of fabric, extra DCM thread,  cross stitch fabric buttons, charms, polymer clay kits, books, magazines, basically a whole craft store!

It's the Ongoing Wish Swap.  I may be interested in this one if it comes to pass.  I have quite a few crafting books I'd love to send to a good home and also live in a very remote area so supplies are hard to come by.

And we raise sheep so always have raw fleece on hand if there are any spinners out there.

I think a supplies swap would be a bit diff from OWS, because although you can claim someone for supplies there is no way of ensuring that you'd receive supplies in return.  Doing a supplies swap would really be fun.  Or maybe if the organizers didn't want the hassle we could all chat and see if we couldn't pair ourselves up and do a flat rate box swap.

I have yarn and fabric and would LOVE Japanese craft books, metal stamping supplies, and scrapbooking items.  Smiley

I think this would be great. I have a ton of scrapbooking supplies/fabric that I'd love to trade for fabric/yarn/chrochet stuff/sewing stuff.

I will do personal swaps. Cheesy
I have a few skeins of Caron Simply Soft I would love to supply swap with anyone for other types of yarn, I am finding the yarn a tad hard to work with.

you could always do a version of the givers/needers swap. people who just want to give supplies to a good home could sign up as a giver and receive a homemade thankyou gift from the needer...you can also sign up as both so you can give and receive supplies. if you are both you will receive a made thankyou from the person you sent supplies to and also make a thankyou for the person who gives you the things you need. sometimes its tricky pairing everyone up depending on the variety of items people have to give.

I think I may set up a supplies swap, but it would be closer to the Pinterest swap than anything else. Is there still some interest in swapping supplies?

I keep waiting for this swap to happen, or a flat rate swap since those are really fun too.
