Not sure if this should go into the designer thread but anywhoo! I kind of merged two dresses I'm in love with at the moment - this Sretsis dress and this Alice Mccall dress, because I just can't get enough of cut out details and backless dresses Smiley I dunno, I just think they're really cheeky and fun!

It was pretty simple, just your regular bodice (lined) with bust darts, added short sleeves, pleated skirt (which I'm a bit iffy on, I think the pleats on the back should go the other way, cos in that photo it kinda makes my butt look flat/wide *sigh* perfectionist), and it does up with a button & loop at the back of the neck and a zip at the skirt. The only tricky thing was maybe getting the size of the front cut out right - the first bodice I made, I cut out a 'small' triangle which turned out to expose things that it shouldn't have! haha and also added in some darts at the back of the bodice - otherwise it would have been gaping! Here is a lame video of me twirling in it.

Thanks for taking a look! Smiley

I like it, the front cutout hints at the backless nature of the dress.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

That's really cute. I love the little triangle opening in the front. Makes the design a lot cooler. I like it a lot.

I do what I like and I like what I do.

Waww, you did an awesome job! I love the back, and the front is really cute too! A little bit sexy but not too much!

The cut-out on the front looks great. It's cool that you were able to combine the two dresses to create of your own. You can see the Alice McCall inspiration coming through!
