Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

LaughingLark - I really like the rolled fabric roses - may I ask what you intend using them for?

I made a pair of button earrings FOR MYSELF today. Just a small, quick project to keep me going. I have 10 more of these metal buttons. Am thinking of making either a bracelet or necklace  Cheesy

Love the shawls especially the lemon one.
The crayon curtain is just fab.
Pink sock monkey is a cutie - I want to have a go at a sock elephant.

Anyway I have only a sleeve and a 1/3 to knit of my cardigan and instead of working on it today I started and finished a completely new project.  Roll Eyes

project 16. Sock for DD's phone.

That's SO cute! Did you make up the pattern? Adorable.

I found the chart for the dog and chevrons in an old magazine and the just knitted a tube using a circular needle and the magic loop method.
I can share the chart if anyone is interested.

Made a few swap items that have been received, so I'm going to post photos here for progress' sake Tongue

First, a nature-themed shadowbox art piece:

And some cutesy light switch plates:

These were both for the January Pinterest swap. I'm going to add a swap crafts category to my list now, since these were my first swap crafts of the year Smiley

I finally got around to cutting my soap disaster from a couple weeks ago...beeswax, raspberry, and banana (which still looks weird...look at the 2 colors...are they all going to cure into one? )

It should become one colour with time and exposure to air/drying.

Yay! I can finally post some more pictures! Although two of these were started last year, I finally finished and gave holiday gifts to my good friends...

The young one in the family got a family of gnomes:

My friend got a necklace. The colors in this photo are mediocre - the metal is more of an antiqued gold / brass, the pearls are whitish, off-white, light grey, medium grey, dark grey, and red.

My friends partner got a zombie food pyramid wall hanging. Again, the picture could be better. The words are painted in an iridescent green and the word "zombie" has a red shadow (which you can't see at all in this photo). The body parts are paper (printed out [since I discovered that I couldn't draw intestines], cut out, and then colored with pens and watercolor pencils - again, the color didn't show up in this photo) and mod podged onto the painted fabric pyramid.
