I forgot to mention (when i was gushing about my little stone tree and earrings) how incredible that Alice box is.  I love it and now I'm thinking of all the beautifully painted boxes the people I love need Wink.  I see painted boxes on my future OWS list.

I LOVE painting those boxes! They're cigar boxes and they're addicting.  Grin
I would be happy to paint one for you! I'll keep my eyes out for them on your list.  Wink

Get your wisting fingers ready.  mini_mum spoiled me with a flock of lovely little birdies for my Christmas tree.  I love all the tiny stitches and French knots.  Smiley  I was planning to share a couple with my nieces...now I wonder if I should.  Hehe.

Thank you mini_mum!!!

I'm loving the birds! Is there a pattern somewhere? I would love to fill a whole tree with them!

SO glad you like them atsuko, have to admit to being a bit nervous about them! (especially when I realised I'd made a mistake with one of them!)

No pattern - I looked at the picture atsuko had pinned (http://www.shopperhive.co.uk/compare/natural-collection-select-bird-shaped-patchwork-purse-prices) and just did my own from there - really simple to do - drew bird shape on to paper for main body & cut out 2. From one bird shape cut out the eye, chest and wing patterns (that way I knew they would fit).

Cut out the bases (remembering to leave seam allowance) and the other pieces (I didn't leave seam allowance as used bond-a-web to fix them in place) from different fabrics then attached the wings, eye patch and chest patch and decorated before sewing together, leaving a hole for turning.

Turn, stuff and close hole. TA DA!! Done!

I didn't put hanging loop on them - if you want one attached, then insert into place before sewing up. Alternatively make a thread loop after sewing up, and change the ribbon year to year or season to season Smiley

Friends don't let friends craft alone :)

Wow, there are some beautiful things in this gallery, you are all very clever! I especially love the earrings, and the little embroidered birdies are fantastic Smiley

I came home from my trip to a lovely parcel - the beautiful babalina has completely spoiled me!

All the pretties ...

She sent silk thread (mmmmm, so pretty!), fabric pieces and stitch bow holders (always needing these!), Jane Austen Knits (beautiful patterns!), and a fabulous brooch that she made Grin She also sent me a couple of sock patterns, which I will be sure to show off when I have knitted them (one has cat paws!)

The brooch went missing ages ago, and then came back to her, so it's so wonderful to finally have it! Here's a closer look at all the intricate bits ...

Gorgeous! Thank you so much babalina!!!

Frosty772 claimed me for a fabric scarf and sent two beautiful ones!

She sent a very pretty pink one and a gray that is just too beautiful for words.

I wanted to get better pictures, but my daughter grabbed these and took off with them practically the second they arrived.  Since I got them for her, I guess that's a good sign that she loves them!

Thanks so much Frosty!

I  just received an AWESOME supplies package from Saintcady. (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image)

It contained an incredible Tim Holtz 12 x 12 paper pack. So many wonderful designs.....

A bunch of Sharpies - exactly the kind I wanted.

Some incredible gemstone beads & a strand of pretty wooden ones.

And a pack of glue sticks for my hot glue gun.

Thanks Saintcady. I can't wait to use them.

Crafting along nicely :)
