Bridgette's favorite movie in the whole world is Disney's Alice in Wonderland, so it seemed right to make her an Alice costume for Halloween.  I know I finished it early, but I still have a Mad Hatter to make and 2 other, as yet unspecified costumes for my older boys.

I also made a heavy black corduroy cape lined in black and white harlequin minky to wear with this so that she'd be warm trick or treating.  Unfortunately, she's not feeling well enough to model Sad  I also made a red rose brooch and a bracelet with red rose and mushroom beads.

I used the precious dress  pattern from youcanmakethis.com and modified the skirt and made my own pinafore.  The petticoat uses the bodice from the same pattern (I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and make my muslin into the petticoat) and the rest of the petticoat is made up as I went along.  In total, including the $10 fee for the pattern download, the outfit cost me $18.

I used velcro on the closure since I seem to have lost my buttonhole foot.
