I wanted to make something special for my boyfriend so I wanted to make a mini skirt! It's not as short as I wanted but he still likes it. This took me days to make simply because I only worked on it a little bit every now and then (Plus I wanted it to look somewhat professional, and I think it's one of my better projects for that) I didn't use a pattern, I just measured, cut, and sewed. I also made button holes. First time ever.

I almost forgot, here's a pic with the buttons undone. It makes it easier to put on, plus I loved the buttons. The holes are a bit messy but they're the first ones I ever made, so meh.

c&c always welcome!

Wow! this is amazing. You made me want to try some buttonholes now. Maybe i'll steal your idea and make a skirt for my boyfriend too. Smiley

Just make sure you make the button holes big enough hahaha. I made them a bit short and had to extend them! I'll definitely be making more skirts, they're so easy and fun :]

What kind of fabric is that (and where's it from)? It's so cute, and perfect for the skirt. Adorable!

I'm guessing it's a soft flannel-y type of fabric. I got it at the thrift store. :] My favorite place to buy fabric haha.

well done, and the buttonholes turned out well too! Smiley (i only mention because you said they were your first - i wouldn't have guessed!)

we demand action shots! Wink it looks great, the only thing to watch out with pleating is that it stays pleated, as some of mine DON'T unless you leave them in the right position after wearing and don't sleep in them! (i have a bad habit of falling asleep in my clothes on the account of my house being so cold i can't bear to change Grin)
