Craft Challenge #69 - Handmade Holiday Gifts for Kids 2 - Due Dec 1 - 8 2011

Winner Announced!

Congrats to leighi123 for her winning entry titled, "EVERYTHING play table, a little imagination needed"!

Check out leighi123's full project thread here:

Read the blog about this challenge, too!

12/09/11 -- It's time to vote

View all of the entries here.  Scroll up to see the voting poll.

Voting will happen from Dec 9 - 16 2011.
If cheating of any sort is detected, the applicable entry and votes will be disqualified.

12/01/11 -- It's time to enter!

To post your entry, please click NEW TOPIC on this board! Smiley  Entries must be posted by 11:59:59 PM, December 8, 2011 PDT.

If you are a new member, and cannot post images yet, please just post a direct link to your image(s) in your post.  A friendly neighborhood Moderator will come along and update your post to embed the image(s) for you.

We're bring back an oldie, but a goodie, from 2008!  This month, we challenge you to craft for a child on your holiday gift giving list this season.  Craft for a friend, a family member or even craft to donate to a child in need. Smiley

To participate in this challenge, just choose one child (15 or under), and make a super awesome holiday gift for them!  You can use any supplies or techniques desired for your project.

  • Your entry/the gift must be made for a child 15 or under.
  • Craft your project during this challenge period (Nov 7 - Dec 8 2011).  Projects created before this timeframe will not be removed from the entry board, but they will be excluded from the voting poll.
  • Post your craft during the period of Dec 1 - Dec 8 2011.  No sooner.  No later.  On Dec 1 2011, there will be a special folder created for entries.
  • Voting will happen from Dec 9 - 16 2011.
  • Enter only ONE project.  Your entry can have multiple components to it.

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original, has never been posted on Craftster, or made by anyone else in the past.  But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, please give credit to that project. Smiley

At the end, I'll set up a poll right here and the first place winner (US or non-US) will get:

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog
(3) and a prize from us at Craftster.org -- any one item from one of Craftster's online shops!

My challenge will be which present to enter! I'm doing all crafted gifts for 6 nieces and nephews, and my own 3 kids. It's a great incentive to have all 9 gifts finished before the 8th though, so I can be sure I'm entering the "cutest" present of the lot!  Cheesy

I'm going to have to do this. I have a list of things I want to make for Little Bean.

Oh man! I'll have to do some brain storming. I'm new on here and my little brother just turned 7. Perfect gifting age! Very tempting!

Oh, this one is tempting.  I may have to craft something to donate - the only child on my gift list couldn't care less about hand-made things.  He would only be impressed if I managed to knit him a 3DS Smiley
