This is Asch the Bloody of the Six God Generals and Commander of the Special Ops Division of the Order of Lorelei's Oracle Knights...

...Also known as that grumpy seventeen-year-old that just needs a hug.  Cheesy

Anyway, Asch is from the game/anime/manga Tales of the Abyss. I used http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x73/Miss-Lanane/Tales%20of%20the%20Abyss/asch3uw.jpg as my reference while making him. How'd I do?

Asch with his sword drawn, ready to fight off some dreck!

Obligatory side view

This is the back of the tabard with the hair out of the way (his head's cut off 'cause the back looks really bad when the hair is pulled away) That design took quite a while to get right.

And this is what's under the tabard, gloves, and boots. I also removed the sword and scabbard. His hair is also able to go down into his "Loving Son" style

Asch's body was made with one of my own no-sew patterns, and the clothes and sword were all done free hand. It took me three or four months to finish everything. Which was waaaaaay too long for one amigurumi. .__. He's a little over 2 feet tall and slightly poseable. He's able to stand on his own, but only when he has all of his clothes on, as his hair is so heavy that he falls over. I'm not sure why the extra clothes make him more stable though.

Thanks for looking!  Grin

He looks so fantastic! It's great to see how he turned out in the end, that's amazing!

Everything about him is fantastic! I love the shaping and proportions, and then of course the details on his clothing are beyond words. He's so pretty and impressive! This rocks!

Thanks everyone! Grin

sakuracat23: For the hair, the short answer would be that I used embroidery floss to sew each strand on in pairs. I'm not sure how to give the long version without pictures though...

*FANGIRL MOE SQUEAL!!!* He's FABULOUS!!!! I love huge amigurumi's like this and the detail is just AMAZING! Considering everything was a no-sew pattern and done free hand, I think you deserve a standing ovation. AH-MAZING!!  Shocked
