Harsh?  Are you kidding me?  That's adorable!!!  I love the fabric!!  Is the safety pin keeping the ribbon in place -- I don't know if you want to stitch the ribbon on or not (maybe using a tiny button that matches the closure button).  It just seems as though it would make it more secure.  I really love it though!

All that is keeping the ribbon in place is the safety pin , we have hundreds of these at work as I work in a Family Planning clinic.

I thought it was a nice way of using them up , it seems quite secure , if it starts to break then I think I will sew it  Grin

That's cool.  I can be paranoid about non-stitched stuff, but it's really just badges that I've lost because they've fallen off my jacket!  Safety pins usually are quite secure, now that I think about it, and wallets are usually in something (purse, your pocket, etc.) and not exposed like a badge!

I still think the wallet is really really cute.  Did you get the fabric with that pattern, or did you screen it on?  I love the op-art-iness of it.
