Welcome to the October Aussie Ongoing Wish Swap! We are very excited to have you here Cheesy

This swap will open on October 1st and close on October 31st (Australian Time). If you would like to sign up please read all info and PM the organisers Oodelally & NatACT your questionnaire.

If you have participated in other ongoing swaps before, please ensure you read this information as you may find things a little different (but no different to the September AOWS)

The following information has been based on / borrowed from the OWS Smiley

: This swap works as a chain. The first person will post a wish list containing both crafted items and supplies, another participant claims at least a medium item from their list and then posts their own list and so on.

: A medium item consists of a craft that takes the average crafter more than 2 hours to complete (not including drying/waiting time), or if sending supplies, AU$20-$30 of store bought items.

: Please include a minimum of 35 specific crafted items and 15 supplies in your list. To help the other participants it helps if you have a link to an image or tutorial of what you would like to receive. The more items you have in your wish list the faster you will get claimed.
Please organise your wish list into:
Craft Supplies
You may like to organise your crafted wished into subheadings such as Yarn/ Sewn/ Papercraft/ etc.

: Please include a short description of yourself at the beginning of your post and include any allergies or things you dont like (colours/patterns/etc.) to avoid any disappointments.

: If you have a pinterest or wist you can also include that if you are happy for someone to claim something from there, perhaps specifying the boards you want to be claimed from. Please specify if you are happy or not to receive a wisty/pinteresty surprise.

: Since we are only posting within Australia it is possible to send along food, baked goods and natural materials, so you may like to include those within your wish list.

: A note regarding extras: These accompany crafted items or craft supplies and do not count towards the medium portion of the swap.

: This is a high quality swap so please only make a claim if you know you can fulfil the wish to a high calibre as you would also like to receive.

: When you claim, at the beginning of your post please include the following information: How many claims you have made, how many claims are in transit and how many claims have been received by your partner. The format 2-0-1 will be ok.

: Please have your list ready before you make a claim to help the chain move along quickly.

: Please contact the person you have claimed ASAP to say Hello and ask for their postal address, that is your responsibility to organise.

: You may choose to not send your parcel via registered post, but understand that if it goes missing you will be required to re-send.

: You have 3 weeks to send your claim to allow people who need more time with their crafting. Once you have sent, please PM both organisers and the recipient the claim information (i.e. Oodelally ----> NatACT for ? , Due September 24)

: Please include the following in the subject of all communication to both organisers Oodelally & NatACT:
AOWS Approval (when sending in your questionnaire)
AOWS Received
AOWS Question

: Please make finishing other swaps a priority before joining this swap.

: Please do not make a claim for this swap until you have been approved. As soon as you have been added to the list on the first page you can begin claiming and join in the fun

: This swap will last one month and the if all goes well will begin again at the start of October, where you will need to submit another questionnaire. You may join in at any time during the month.

Regarding Feedback:
: There are some things that will land you with negative feedback, so please pay attention to the following information.
* You must send the medium item that you have claimed for, otherwise you will receive negative feedback.
* If you claim for a cotton hat then do not send a wool one or you will need to send again.
* Pay close attention to your partners allergies and wishes. If you send something that is on the list of allergies, or dislikes etc. you will be required to send again   We dont want any swappers get something that is clearly in their list of things they dont like and or have allergies of.....

: If everything goes successfully you will receive feedback once you have, sent, received and posted pictures for all of your claims
...Or if you have not posted pictures, up to 2 weeks after the swap has ended.

The last claim of the last round was made by the lovely Mod35tBabe Smiley Here is her wish list...

Hi, I'm Stefanie and I live in Australia. I'm studying Cert III in Fashion Design via correspondence. I've been with my boyfriend for 2.5 years but we haven't moved in together yet. I also spend nearly all my weekends with his almost 3 year old daughter.
I love most animals (and while I don't love spiders and the like, I won't kill them unless they're inside my house and I haven't got someone to put them out lol), and currently live (with my parents and brother as well) with a Golden Retriever Buddy, two domestic cats Bella & Blade and a cockatiel Takeshi.
I like 1950s themed sarcastic stuff (think of the magnets with the 1950s housewife saying something like "If you want breakfast in bed, sleep in the kitchen"), penguins, tigers, porcelain dolls, computers/internet, crochet toys, and embroidery. For themes I like pin ups, old Hollywood like that used in Hungry Jacks restaurants, skulls, ninjas, Coca-cola branded items. Favourite colours include turquoise, black, silver, deep purples, most blues and greens.
I enjoy sewing, painting, scrapbooking/paper crafts, quilling, surfing the web, reading and playing wii fit.
I am very sensitive to perfumes and strong odours like that, very sensitive to dustmites, and I dont like rough wool/materials because I suffer from eczema. I am also sensitive to some wash detergents so please check before washing anything I'd wear.

Please find inspiration at my wists and pins:

and more about me at my blog which is listed on my profile.

I'd love something with lyrics on it from any song on the Wedding Singer album, but in particular I love "Hold Me Now". Something like this: http://granvillehouse.blogspot.com/2011/03/sneak-peek-giveaway.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+granvillehouse+%28320+*+Sycamore%29&utm_content=Google+Reader

A belt with pockets big enough to hold Driver's license and a $10 note would be awesome. - like this http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/hathor-utility-belt-with-pockets--leather--brown--tribal-fusion--hip-belt--goth--saddlebags --- but it doesn't have to be leather, any material is fine and I can give measurements via PM if needed

A small quilt like this one: https://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/medium/173532_15Aug11_Salmo-20110710-00037.jpg - doesn't have to be pin-up girls though, any theme found on m profile or Pins is fine or this one https://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/medium/110312_05Aug11_IMG_0554.JPG

Wood magnet calendar set: http://gadgetsin.com/chalkboard-weekly-calendar-fridge-magnet-set.htm

Pirahna plant earrings: http://imgur.com/bsJzW

Rubik's Cube coasters: http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/kitchen/e866/?cpg=166NPCS&image&cpg=cj&ref=&CJURL=&CJID=2617611

Cute owl made from sweaters: http://www.etsy.com/listing/77027870/upcycled-felted-wool-beige-sleepy-owl

Wooden to-do list - either a child's one for my stepdaughter (suitable for 3yrs+) or a more adult themed one for me, please PM me if you choose this to make so we can discuss this further:

Wall organiser: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=374086.0

Embroidered hooplas featuring any theme mentioned on my profile or pinterest

A hoodie bolero like this:http://yourstylerocks.com/patterns/archive.php?pattern_id=3

I love corsets so anything corset themed would be cool, like a bag etc or something like in this link: http://dollmakersjourney.com/corsett.html

Something inspired by the Moss image and caption: http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/moss-from-the-it-crowd-memor-t-shirt-3

Quilted pillow case: https://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/medium/153179_03Sep11_DSC00156.JPG

Any of the following characters from various tv shows, in either amigurumi or sewn or ATCs - I currently have Sheldon from BBT and he has been sewn. I'd like him to have a few friends. I am happy to find sewn patterns if someone wants to sew me one but can't find a tute to read through. The links I've posted will mostly be to crochet patterns but I'm happy with sewn or paper crafts as long as colours/style are similar.
A dragon like this fella: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=346924.0
or this one: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=318793.0 << I love his eyes!
Wall-E and Eve https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=291351.0
Owl & the pussy cat:https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=365046.0
Any character from (Tim Burton's)Alice in Wonderland, Charlie & the chocolate factory, Finding Nemo, Cars and anything listed on my profile is also welcome.

The below can be in any format, I'm not really fussed.

Coco Chanel or Old Hollywood themed anything - let your imagination run wild!

Craft caddy for sewing OR paper crafts. I will try and find some examples of them to put in my pins

Celtic anything - again let your imagination run wild

A pinterest surprise

Travel pillow - the tute linked is more for a child but I'd like the adult version http://mayamade.blogspot.com/2009/06/childs-travel-pillow-tutorial.html

Pattern Weights

Hand warming gloves

Headache Relief pots

Ribbon Dispenser box
Something similar would be great

Vintage Ephemera

Inks suitable for paper crafts

Cookie cutters

Distressing tools/ink

Canvas pad

Charcoal for drawing

Landscape or animal pictures - 4"x6" or smaller for scrapbooking. Pictures such as n
Nice autumn, spring or winter country scenes, city views, close animal or plants in focus are also cool.

Spray adhesive

Decoupage glue and paper

Toddler Slippers
Preferably made out of polar fleece. Please disregard the measurements listed in the tute as I need to check the shoe size. Accacia is a fairly petite 3 year old - her foot length is 6.5inches. If foot width is needed let me know.
Rapunzel or Dora themed pillow case or wall art etc - am also open to suggestions for this

A remote control caddy for the lounge suite
Large mug skull or pirate themed
Wall art themed with skulls, pirates or BMX - must be BMX, not moto cross

I collect snow globes, I prefer the expensive porcelain type but also collect the plastic ones.
Black jelly beans by the Lolly Factory. I have found them at Go-Lo but as we don't have this store, I can't get them whenever I want.

I claim Mod35tBabe for some headache balm pots and a pair of slippers for ACCACIA
claimed 2 oct to be sent by 23 oct

my list

I am Tanya, a 37 yr old mother of 3 teens.
A girl and two boys.
I have arthritis and this limits wether and when I can work…….the up side to that is more time to craft yippee.
I live in Sunny WA. Love it here I hail from NSW central Coast originally.
I make all my own bath and body product and tend to dress from opshops, who doesn’t love a well worn pair of jeans.
I have my own style and don’t tend to follow fashion at all.

I am a reverend and run my own spiritualist church on a Friday night.
NO I am not your typical church type person, in fact my mates all asked if the place fell down when I walked in the door. To each their own I say. Religious type stuff does not offend me in anyway, but it’s better to check as I would rather have stuff that will be used/displayed than sit in a cupboard hidden.

I am super happy for you to reuse something to make into something new. Or send me stuff from your stash or even buy/obtain from a second hand store or the bag of stuff your getting rid off.

I would rather you ask me 100 questions than not be sure.

Anything from or inspired by my wist is sweet.
I also LOVE Dragons and wolves.

Please note I have difficulty wearing wool so tend to avoid it.
•   A new tight beanie I have a nike one that I love it fits like a second skin. I am happy with one that has a tight band and looser body though.
•   Some ideas for other hat styles  http://www.wists.com/tanza/4bae0d6c851e6e74f57f421fc7f399cc?offset=20     http://www.wists.com/tanza/e0c6fb214c57007f2d5f01ff0aa5491d?offset=20
•   A HUGE ask I know a cardigan, I really don’t mind if this is repurposed either or even just one you find in a opshop or old bag of clothes
•   Dryer balls but these need to have a outer of some kind, the last ones I got were felted together but have come apart so I thought maybe with a crochet outer shell they would stay together.
•   A white cotton camisole
•   A phone pouch

•   A set of 5 placemats. Rectangle or square type, quilted or plain . I like to rotate the ones I have, blacks, browns, blues, cranberry. Or a combination of colors. My table is teak and the walls blue and cranberry.
•   Fabric napkins set of 5 please
•   Kitchen tea towels for the hands, on hangers
•   A phone pouch
•   Oven mitts
•   Table cloth, I don’t mind it being plain as I have a HUGE table. 2.5 mt x 1 mt
•   Tight pillow cases, normal ones just a tad smaller so that they firm up the pillow.
•   Shopping bags, like the coles of woolies ones with the larger square bottom. Hubby keeps breaking all mine when he uses them to deliver the newspapers.
•   A hoodie bolero ( I borrowed from Mod35tBabe list)   http://yourstylerocks.com/patterns/archive.php?pattern_id=3
•   A white cotton camisole
•   An android plushie pillow- http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/android-doll     http://www.intomobile.com/2011/02/15/android-plush-robot/
•   A red riding hood cape http://www.craftsy.com/project/view/Red_Riding_Hood_Cape/11953
•   A bra bag for the washing machine

•   Virgin mary statue smaller type ones for the table
•   Male angels
•   For chirstmas I am making up a boot kit for my older 2 to go in the car, you know picnic blanket, small tools, first aid kit etc, anything that can go into this would be most welcome.

Supplies/bought type stuff, or if you have it laying round

•   A karate gee or 2 in mens medium or large my sons have just started Judo.
•   White sage seeds or cuttings, please don’t confuse this with the cooking herb I have that one, this is to make smudge sticks with.
•   Buttons or zippers
•   Thread in white, black, pink or blues, or browns
•   Sewing machine needles
•   Cotton fabrics, old sheets are great for making stuff from. So are nice quilt covers
•   Machine embroidery thread, bobbin thread or stablisers
•   Ken or max steal dolls to make into male angels
•   Tea light candles or smaller pillar candles are always good, I use them for church a lot.

Back in the swapping game after being unwell for a few months XD Woot!

I claim Tanza For hand towels on hangers and one or two surprise extras.

Hi, I'm Kailey, 21 and Victorian.
Note: I have two cats, which are kept away from crafts.

About me (It's long, I know X3)
Ask one of my friends to describe me, and they would say a crafty, slightly gothy and completely random girl. Thats me in a nutshell. My likes are varied greatly. (See my main wist for a better idea lol)
I love lot's of different colours (Such as blues, reds, orange, purple, green, silver, so on) if they are coupled with Black. I do like other colour combinations, such as silver and blue or purple and green. I am not offended by nudity or religion, but it is best to check just in case.

My likes, as I have said. Are alot! You would have to check my wists as I don't have time to say them all here, and not even all of them are there XD.
For example:Looking around my desk right now, I see dvd's for Buffy, Doctor who, Repo! The Genetic Opera and Friday the 13th next to me and my TV currently has Dead Space; The Movie in it. I am listening to Placebo, A korean band called Honey Family Slow Jam and Nightwish in the background, and my xbox has Halo 3 in it. Plus one cat is curled up on my Star Trek doona on my bed with my lemming army. Later I am penning a letter to my Japanese friend, who live's in Sri Lanka....

My style would be gothy, cute, a little horror, kitshy, 50's, vintage, pop culture. I like wearing old style dresses (if they fit me) But I am just as comfortable in a band t-shirt and jeans or slacks. I love odd shoes, painted boots or the like. I don't mind smoke smell, as long as it can be washed out of something or isn't to pugnant. (I don't smoke but I have friends that are smokers, so I am used to the smell.)I have two cats. They can find their way into my bed in almost any circumstance, and love to come in in the middle of the night and curl up next to my face. But they hate each other.

I also recently got into roleplay again (I used to roleplay/cosplay in my early teens). I roleplay two characters mainly ~ Drusilla from Buffy and an OC character I made for Repo! The genetic Opera called Lux. You can ask me about them if you wish :3.
I am currently at Tafe doing a course in Patesserie, and only have a few months until I am qualified. So I love food, obviously XD. I love the scent of things as well as looks, smell is one of my favourite senses. I don't use them that often, but I appreciate nice soaps, incense or perfumes just as much as something that looks good.

I'm also a music/movie/gaming nut. I have half a wall filled with dvd's, games and cd's (Horror, comedy, thriller, old school, anime, sci-fi, musicals....) I just got a cd player that holds up to 50 cd's at once (Yep, I still have cd's XD) and I have two mp3 players filled with music as well.

List coming soon

Crafted items
-BIG WISH! poppet or plushie. eg
~Repoman/Nathan Wallace
~BIG WISH! Spike from Buffy https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=316078.msg3718083#msg3718083 ((Not safe for work Picture! but would love a poppet version of this one.))
~Nightcrawler from X-men

- A "remade" Barbie. I sort of collect barbiedolls or soft toys that people have remade into other types of alternative dolls, for example some of the ones I would like would be
~Ghost barbie
~Goth Nurse Barbie
~Harley Quin Barbie
~ Zombie doll

-Stuffies to hold things. eg
~recording device.
~a monster stuffie or such for my laptop.

-Painted shoes
~Day of the Dead

~Repo! The genetic Opera
~Day of the Dead Festival
~Skull Kitty
~Little polyclay food or stuff made into jewellery...
~Button charms for my button charm bracelet of my favourite things. (I can explain further. The charms are buttons that have a circle picture glued to the middle on both sides, then they are resined to seal the picture in. The button is then drilled so that a metal loop can be fitted to it so it can be attached to the bracelet.)

And of course, stuff from my wist is always loved!

Bought things/Craft supplies
-Japanese stuff
~ I love Japan and japanese stuff, especially candy and kawaii things XD So Supplies like fabric or pencils/pens, stuff like that is welcomed.
- Polyclay supplies and the like. (Or other supplies for making little polyclay foods and stuff, such as molds or that polyclay whipped 'cream' in a tube stuff for cupcakes.
-Little 'whimsies'
-Old or odd paper-type stuff, such as brochures, tickets, cut outs, adverts, etc etc
-It's a bit weird, but I wouldn't mind some "Edible dust" that you use to decorate cakes and things. It would be a good edition to my kit. So would smallish cookie cutters (Shaped, eg letters, flowers, animals)

And once again, anything from my wists is loved!

Hi  My name is Lauren. I am 27 and Im from Melbourne, Australia.
I am married (have been for 7 years). I have a furbaby (cat) named Maxie. She is our princess. She doesn't go near my crafting things though
I am a teacher and I am also studying graphic design. I lived in Japan for the first 5 months of this year teaching English to children. It was one of the best (read: easiest) jobs Ive ever had. I decided to come back home to my husband, family and friends, but I totally miss Japan  Its such an amazing country! Right now I am emergency teaching and believe it or not I LOVE it!
I love the colour spectrum, my favourite colours are Red and Cobalt Blue. Brown, Cream and Red would match my house. I love the Scandinavian look of bright pops of colour on white.
I would describe my style as Cute, Fun, Bright, Happy, Neat and Eclectic.
I would prefer items from a smoke free environment. And I don't mind if you have a pet  .....as long as they don't sit on your crafts  I am also allergic to hessian >.<

Hi  I'm Kate from Adelaide. Married mum to 3 awesome kids - age 11, 8 and almost 5 mths . I have created a board on pinterest especially for this swap, with items I would love to have made for me - have a look at the other boards if you like!
Here is the LINK - CRAFTSTER WISHLIST . I do not need exact replicas(but it is ok if you want to) -  i would love a crafty 'inspired' original

I claim Kwiltykate for Baby Clothes - if thats ok (otherwise craft supplies) I have size 00 and 6M clothes that I had brought for a little Miss that turned out to be a little Mister. Pumpkin Patch, Spout, a couple of euro brands that a Swedish friend brought me, a white dress with red/pink roses on it (from Big W) and 5 pairs of socks. They are all brand new, still with tags.

1st claim

Hi my name is Nat, I live in Canberra. I have 2 little kiddies, Megan is 6 years old and Elliot 2.

I love to craft but my main passion is crochet novelties. Im the type of person who gets a kick out of making crochet sushi rolls and cherry pie potholders

I have also updated my wist and added a few more descriptive tags.

Crafts I would love

Anything from my wist http://wists.com/NatACT
Or my pin http://pinterest.com/natact/

I'm in my Pin most every day (sad my addiction is) you will get a representation of who I am from these things, My Pin is the best place to start. If in doubt message me here or on facebook (elliot's mummy) I'm usually on one of the other

big massive wants

Poly Clay sheep for my Christmas tree (found in http://pinterest.com/pin/156955143/)

Christmas anything - my pin will give you an idea of what I like, feel free to extend beyond those items. Christmas is my favorite time of year anything sent would be loved. I have lots of Christmas Tags though. I love cheeky novelty Christmas items (think these and your in the right area http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=178167248924590&set=a.178167062257942.44065.140642846010364&type=3&theater), I also love Victorian Christmas items. My tree is generally decorated Green and Vintage Reds with Gold colours. I have a Lemax Christmas village and would happily take pieces (lemax or not, homemade or not) that fit in with that village.

Poly Clay Buttons or Shawl Pins.
I have added so so many of these beautiful buttons and pins to my wist list. http://www.wists.com/NatACT/polyclaybuttonspins

I have some favorites which include these buttons (how adorable are they) http://www.wists.com/NatACT/polyclaybuttonspins/6ff5a616ad05ca533f00ee16c8da3327?offset=0

And I love this shape for a shawl pin. I don't mind the colour so much but I would prefer darker colours or natural earth colours. http://www.wists.com/NatACT/polyclaybuttonspins/9c01e8556d3b7ab667c05b808a80d283?offset=0

I have so many felted food play items in my wist list my children would love them. Even though my daughter is getting older, she uses them to stock her shop which is her cubby house. She loves food play items and now that Elliot is getting old enough to play with her they would really be loved

Elastic headband blanks I want to make some Yo Yo head bands for my daughter and nieces for Christmas but I cant sew to save myself. Black and White would be super awesome and in sizes you wish from newborn right through to 6 years.

I received a wonderful rocket ship pillow and a dear friend would love one, If you are ok with this item being gifted to a little man who is close to me. I would love to give him one too.

I would love (for myself which is rare) an oven mitt that looks like a crab/lobster claw, or an apron that looks like the body of a lobster. I spend most of my time in the Kitchen (when not at work) and I would get a huge kick out of these items.

My nephew would love a Jedi Cape, like the one worn by Yoda or the original Jedi robes from the movies. He is Star Wars crazy.

Quilled Christmas decorations 

Anything Star Wars, for my nephew (8yo).

A reusable Littlest Pet Shop snack bag for my daughter.

Fabric Painting/Art/Screening/Iron-ons I have a few items in my wist with the tag fabricpainting.

Drawings , Painting, charcoals or sketches.
I love Landscapes, Gardens, Japanese inspired themes.

Paper Crafts.
I would love some fanciful boxes to store ribbons or buttons in. Any style really as I will store them in my craft room. Any size, but the ribbon box should be tall enough to hold a standard spool of ribbon.

Random craft, something to inspire you

Any Christmas thing inspired from this site (my hubby and I are IT nerd and nerdettes) http://royal.pingdom.com/2008/12/23/inventive-christmas-decorations-for-computer-geeks/

Huge list of patterns and supplies on my PIN.

Crochet Magazines such as Crochet Today or Interweave (Ive had a digital Subscription to Crochet World and Crochet Magazine since 2008) Back issues, second hand, even torn but repairable, found it at the bottom of a box at a Yard sale is fine. As a side note my grandmother has given me all her old mags from the 70s through to late 1990s so Im pretty covered for these eras (but if your after a pattern for crochet swim wear I have 100s lol)

Fun fabrics (FQs would be plenty) for me to make some Girlie Yo Yo headbands.

Sizzix or Cuttlebug dies (pretty much any die that will fit in the Big Shot is fine) pre loved is fine

Interesting med or large buttons or beads to put into the center of crochet flowers or Yo Yo flowers. Basic, pastels or glittery colours would be super awesome.
