Congrats!!

I have a pattern picked out. Im going to attempt to broaden my cross stitch skills this month...

Yikes! Good for you!

I recently did a mini x piece and was shocked at how much more challenging it was than I recall!

I was so cavalier! La de dah!  Then I sat down and was like...woah. Oh the stitchy arrogance!

Get it, girl!

Hahaha!! It's a larger pattern but only has 4 colors and I found that using a water soluble marker to grid out my fabric is really helping.

I always draw a grid in the back of my cross stitch patterns in pencil. Never thought about using water soluble pens though.

Good idea to do lines on the back! I may do that next time or when my skills get a bit better. So far my hoop is coming along well. Slower going than I thought it would be though.

I found something that is slightly redundant, but I can't help it because of the topic! I mean, HALLOWEEN!

Last year I received some hand dyed fabric from yofi as an extra during the slow cloth swap. It's PERFECT for my topic, so I really just hope I don't mess up her lovely fabric!
