I'm currently crocheting a big rainbow granny square (it's maybe 3 1/2ft long right now) I was almost out of blue yarn so I made an estimation on whether or not I can make it around once more. It looked like I could and then the instinct kicked in with a "Watch you run out of yarn a few inches from the end"
Well I wasn't exactly inches from the end but I still have about a foot worth of stitches to do and no cash to get more yarn...   Sad

anyone else get this happening to them?

... so now I'm wishing this issue had come up earlier in this blanket. I didn't feel like waiting so I just continued with a navy blue yarn. a single row of a darker color looks pretty cool.  Tongue

I'm horrible at estimating. Sad to say, I've done this more than once. Sad

I love nonsense - it wakes up the brain cells!

when i put a wallpaper boarder up in our computer room, i forgot to include the bump out for the closet and we ended up 3 ft short. and the paper has been discontinued. fortnatly the section where we ran out is behind the door, so we just left it.

interested in a private atc swap-i am collecting ATC cards to be framed in a collage and auction to raise money for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma research. (ACCRF) project blog-    atc4acc.blogspot.com

ARgh...  Frustrating!

I've been there before, then I could not find the right shade of orange anywhere.  To this day it drives me nuts, and now I always over purchase.  At least that way I just have an extra pile of stuff in the stash.  I can cope with that!

I even do that at work for stuff.  I'd hate to be caught short, and a spare piece can help if an oops happens.

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

When to home hardware, bought some very long bolts and nuts, then changed my mind on the bolts. I get home and of course, the nuts don't fit *facepalm*

Good thing they're cheap.
