I made this for a friend of mine who just graduated from our highschool yesterday and who I'm going to miss very much. It's also a half birthday present half thanks for being my friend present. If that makes sense Wink anyways. her name is Brie and from a very long story we call her the Super B. And when she saw my duct tape purse (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=38375.0) she made me promise i'd make her one.

I'm really proud of this one and I can't *wait* to give it to her. The strap is made of pieces of those plasticy lei things (the cheap hawaiian leis) unwravelled and braided with duct tape rolled over on it's self.. umm.. yea hope that makes sense too.
anyways.. pictures Cheesy

Front, to make the letters and stuff I cut them out with an exacto knife then ran them through my sticker maker (the tape i cut from was double sided)

back, woven like anything else.

inside, there's three pockets, one for a cell and two other ones for things like gum, pens whatever.

I could most liekly post a tutorial if needed, it was basically made just like any other plain old duct tape purse. Bought all my duct tape (accept for some of the white) at Michaels.

comments are greatly appreciated Smiley

unravelling those leis are so much fun! i remember a few years ago my friends and i unravelled about 10 and tied them together to see how many times it would go around the house... i think it was twice.

anyways, i love love LOVE that purse.

all we were searching for was someone or something to believe in. i guess that's why we got each other.

lol thanks. and yes. unwravelling the lei's are a TON of fun. mmm I think I sat in my room doing that for a good 10 minutes and then ended up with it everywhere. there's a lot of plastic in those things!

I just gave my friend her purse and she loved it, took it out bowling with us that night. Her boyfriend however wasn't so impressed. He couldn't believe she actually brought it out. Ohsh.
