so my vegan sister in law and I were chatting over some beer last night about "kittylitter" cakes and how cool they are.

This got me thinking, it's her birthday on monday. she was saying that the sweets she misses most with milk in are chocolate truffles. Again, I start thinking...

and here's what my thunks thinked.

I'm going to give them to her, arranged in that box, with pointy sticks to pick them up. they'll be more fun than you can shake a sh**ty stick at* Wink

(*english colloquialism)

PS they taste really good.

50g dark chocolate
25g margarine (milk free, obvs!!)
1-2 tbsp ground almonds
1-2 tbsp crumbled cake (I used leftover choco-vinegar cake; the vinegar works instead of egg)
10g cocoa powder
so much confectioner's sugar I lost count.

melt the marg and the chocolate together over hot water.
remove and pour into a fresh bowl. add confectioner's sugar until it starts to get firmer. add the almonds and cake crumbs, try not to leave the mixture too dry.
basically, if you can form it into poo shaped lumps, it's done. if not, add more confectioner's sugar.

now, set that aside and clean your hands. crumble up some cookies. I used vegan gingernuts. about 6 for a good serving. then mix with some more ground almonds. chuck into a box. I sprinkled it in a nice ikea plastic tub Wink

shape and arrange your poops on this. leave in the fridge to set.
serve to non-squeamish people Wink

these ones are being handed over along with a Rappanui t shirt (I had a voucher otherwise I'd NEVER be so generous hahahaha!!!)

EWW! Yum!  gross looking, delicious sounding. Congrats on getting a mature label on a food item.
