Recently I've been busy making these little Tooterphants - similar in shape to elephants, they have wide trunks which they use to make tooting noises and to suck up their food. They live in groups and enjoy playing together - they particularly enjoy climbing on each other and trying to make as tall a tower as possible. My Tooterphants managed a tower of four in my garden before the wind blew them over! Luckily they are quite bouncy and don't mind falling over.

I used King Cole Splash DK self-striping yarn to make these, which I loved, and I'm really happy with the way all the bright colours look together. I hope you like them too!

Beautiful! I really like the yarn choice! It gives them their own character. Did you make the pattern up? I would love to make a few of these for a friend of mine's son. I think he would just love them!!  Grin

I just bought the pattern, thank you for making it available! Smiley

I can't wait to make some of these.  I collect stuffed elephants, and their cousins will make an awesome addition to my collection. Smiley  They are so cute!

Wow-they are adorable!! So cute!!!!

I second the yarn choice - it almost gives them their personality (if that doesn't sound too strange?!)

Thank you very much everyone! It was a bit of an experiment to see what they'd look like in bright colours, but I was really happy with the way they turned out. And yes, my kids are very lucky, the youngest in particular is always asking me to make him things.
