This is my entry into the Nature Challenge, The Winter Prince.  He was inspired by: My love of cervines/deer, flowers, and snow.  Now mind you, I like snow for like a day or two.  I think it is very beautiful, especially snow flakes.  I just don't care for the cold that comes w/them.  Wink  The print on this deer's fabric is red poinsettias.  I hand sculpted his: antlers, eye lids, nose, and hooves.  You can't see it in the pics, but, the back of his hooves even have the little "cleft" that deer have on the back of their legs, which is part of their hoof.  Because he is a creature of winter, he has soft white fur about his ankles.  He rests comfortably on his bed of freshly fallen snow.  If he finds that he is hungry, he only need to stretch out his neck to feast upon berries and ivy leaves.  If you spot this regal fellow grazing in your yard, you know winter is sure to follow.  Winter has found a wife, summer.
