i thought you might be interested in finding out more about and supporting australian wool & the industry.
i have a project up on http://pozible.com, which some of you might like to explore as a fundraising avenue - heaps of people have done cool crafty things with kickstarter in the US, and there's no reason why we can't do the same here in oz!
i'm asking people to pledge money in return for wool yarn (which is a jumper weight - around 10-12 ply worsted/aran) and combed top. the wool comes from a rare breed of sheep - the cormo - which was founded in tasmania, and isn't mulesed, but it sustainably farmed. the wool is stunning, and uber soft.
i'll be offering dyeing options for a small fee off pozible should the project be successful (so yes, you can get your yarn dyed before you knit with it).
Please support the project, let your crafty friends know about it, and help get the word out. you have until midday, september 10!
