I can't wait to see what you make...I just love all of the ideas and imagination in putting these houses together...I love the Victorian details but I do not have the patience that many of you have!

I put my whole house together and then took it apart to paint it...I wanted to be sure I could get it together before putting in all of the hard work Cheesy

I did not sand anything according to instruction...it would have killed me..

I was wondering how the tree house was going!!

And now a a teapot house? Just too much cuteness there!

I know I need to start again on my house and I hope to see how everyone is progressing...

teag I LOVES that tea pot house!

I took a skip over to Michaels tonight and while they still do not have the houses (grrrr) I did pick up some miniature cupboards for just .78!

I'm getting impatient to see the house my mum picked up for me from kijiji. This is the kit I snatched up for just $25! She said it looks as though it was abandoned mid-way and they just chucked everything in the box... furniture, tools... droooool. She lives a few hours away so I've got to wait for her next visit to get my grubby hands on it.

I don't know if I can handle the wait!

miniature cupboards? what do they look like and where in Michael's might I find them? lol

There are about 5 different styles. In my shop they are found with all of the little wooden things you can paint and wooden puzzles.

Here's one example

And another

Woo Hoo, Now I get to play along....

My mom cleaned out some of her Christmas decorations and sent them my way.... I found this adorable little wooden family in a bag of ornaments.... fell in love with all of them!!

While shopping last weekend, I came across this perfect cardboard dollhouse for $14.99.... yep, less than $15 dollars!! I snatched that puppy up right away....

Funny thing is that my wonderful husband went to Michaels the same day to pick up some supplies for his hobby.... and came home with this fun little wooden castle....

Now my delimma is which one my little family will reside in?? as much as I love the little castle, I just don't think it's big enough for a family of 5....

Wow Fluttermuffin, 2 cool houses to choose from. I'm jealous Smiley

The cupboards are so cute! I have to look for some when I get back to Michael's. I haven't still haven't started on my house except putting it together. I just got back from vacation and I'm working on a swap this week. Maybe the weekend or at least next week I can get started.

I have seen people mention sandpaper for shingles. Does anyone have a tutorial on this or can you give me an idea of what to do?

Cute little family, fluttermuffin.  That castle is awesome, it must be a new item for Michaels.

I purchased several of the cabinets for a different project...I did take a couple apart by microwaving them with no issues...

but...now I have to go back and find that castle...wouldn't that be fun to do a Game of Thrones themed castle?

Didn't you use the bottom of one of those cabinets in your house, MissingWillow?  Full of fabulous goodies, as I recall...let me go back and look...I loved it!

My Michaels has one of the Fantasy houses, a ton of the Gothic houses, but none of the simpler ones.  I'm going to keep checking back to see if they ever get the simpler ones in though. And now I'm also going to have to see if my Michaels has one of those castles. They are so perfect for making something for little boys.
