Since i couldn't find a kit in the stores and I have quite the left over card board from maquette making I'm making the house using the template katara found.
Here are the pieces that are painted. I haven't done anything to the roofs yet because I don't know what I want to do with them...

I'm going for a gothic mansion where an elegant lady lives who likes painting, reading, piano playing and witch craft Cheesy For the colour combination I've chosen black-silver-red Smiley So if anyone has any suggestions for the roof, let me know Wink

I have to find the power cord for my camera so I can show off how much I got done!

I have 2 rooms painted and with fancy trim, one with felt carpet.
Mattresses created for the kittens' bed and the cradle.
Painted and added a mirror to the kittens' desk.
Created a mosaic mirror for the main bedroom to match the decor.
Sewed up the cross stitch pillows for the kittens.

I've decided I need to scale down the fireplace since my house is slightly under the 1:12 scale. It takes too much space in my livingroom space the way it is.

Will swap for 1:12 exotic & magical dollhouse furniture and accessories, amigurumi, magical poppets.

It is a regular item at my Michael's--there are always stacks of them...I have three on the floor next to my nightstand ready to go...

They had everything BUT the dollhouses at mine. Ugh. Anyone wanna swap or sell one?

Anyone who can see that Tyrion Lannister is the BEST character in that series deserves a house! Cheesy

I am PMing you...

Reichan--you can make fake shingles for the roof using sandpaper painted dark grey...ha ha I still have not done my roof so I have no room to talk!

I don't know if many of you have taken a look at the discussion boards but you may want to check it out, currently in the  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER under the suggestion a new board there is an on going discussion for creating a miniature board so that all miniatures will be in one place  the discussion thread is located here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=219367.0

if more people join in the discussion a miniature board may become a reality

I originally wanted to only buy the foam, paints, and glue for my house but I caved this weekend and bought fake moss and sand paper (for the roof) at the dollar store.  As well as a leaf shaped mirror, though I don't know if it'll seem too upscale so it may not get used.

I'm thinking I'm going to save up a few coffee trays and create some handmade paper for the exterior.  Stucco may be quicker than stones if I can get the paper to dry straight.
