Went to two different Michaels recently to see if I could score a house and still didn't find any. Sad Much sadness.

I think the templates posted in the original post are going to work out beautifully.  Katara hasn't posted a progress photo in a while but that last one looked great.  And foam board can be purchased at Michaels and at Dollarama for $1.25 each.  So this route is a big money saver.

I bought the adhesives last night!  I'll see if I can get the template printed and foam board cut.  I'm really excited about this project.

I'm looking to get hold of the creatology house.. the "dollhouse with veranda" one. But I'm in the UK! Would someone be willing to buy one and ship it to me? If so, how much including shipping would this be?

I'd be looking to pay for it around the 23rd of this month..

Also, I understand you build it yourself? What extras would I need for this like adhesives etc? I'm looking to create the house from UP! for my wedding Smiley Would poster paints work?

I'd really appreciate it Smiley Thanks!

I sent you a pm-  The pieces punch out (and result in sore thumbs, but it's worth it) and then fit together.  They will fit together without adhesives but for the sake of sturdyness and durabiltiy, it's good to use glue before you are completely done with it. I've painted mine with acrylics, or stained the wood, with no problem.

For everyone seaching to no avail in their local Michael's.... I went into a shop last week and they said they are seasonal items and should be arriving in the next few weeks. How dollhouses are seasonal I really don't understand but it might be worth checking back in a month or so to see if they are in stock Smiley

Maybe the 'dollhouse season' only lasts a few days Wink I'm thinking of just ordering a crap load.

Finally getting my butt in gear today. Phrixy helped by peeling off the failed rock wall attempt I did on one outer wall. I couldn't bear to tear apart what was a weekend's worth of work.

I've now installed the shim wall additions to make the roof level on the longer side, and I'm going to do a couple coats of papier mache inside and out to keep them sturdy. After that I'm going to do some painting in the rooms, since it doesn't come apart to do papering instead. I'll probably use felt for carpeting in some rooms, and I have tongue depressors I may use for wide wooden floorboards. Haven't quite decided yet.
