A few people mentioned they'd be interested in a doll/whimsy house craftalong. What do you say? Want to play along?

Here's the house I recommend using...

I've seen this online for $50. Don't you dare pay that much for it! If you have a Michael's store near you, you should be able to pick one up for $15-ish (remember to print out a 40% off coupon!). Out of all of the houses I think that this is the easiest to work with, especially if this will be your first house. You might see others that are more ornate but believe me, at some point or another you'll want to smash it to bits because of all the fiddly parts.

If you can't find that particular house, no worries, you can still join in. Just try to pick up a house in the next few weeks and we'll start making something great Smiley

I'm crazy for minis right now, so I've bookmarked this. Not sure if I can find that house but I'll look and have my honey look while she's in the US. Alternately I could work on the house I'm renovating instead. I think being in a craftalong might push me to make progress again.

Boldly going where others have probably been.

This just looks like tons of fun. If I weren't lazy I would do it... Maybe, just maybe I can try to quit being lazy

Really, I expect this will be a long, on-going craftalong. Each house that I have done has been done in spurts and isn't done all in one go. You can be as lazy as you like... in fact, you're more likely to keep your sanity if you're a bit lazy.  Grin

I just checked on Ebay:

This one is $15. plus $5. shipping and there is another one for $16.99.

So tempting...

That kit sells for just $7 at my nearby Michaels and with a 40% coupon I only paid $4 for it!  I just finished building the kit and I am up for joining this craftalong Wink

***I don't do personal swaps - I was flaked on and it was not a great experience, however I am open to commissions***

Not sure about the Dollhouse with Veranda, but I picked up the same brand Ranch House at Michaels for 30 cents!!  How freaking awesome is that deal??  If I'd known the price was that low (they weren't marked) I'd have bought them all!  My DD got the "telephone booth" for 60 cents - it will become a Tardis, of course!

Boycott haters.

Oooohhh I really want to do this... I'm meant to be saving money though... Maybe if I can find one with free postage to Australia I might be in Smiley Garh! They all say shipping not specified Sad Would anyone be willing to pick up a cheap one for me and I could pay you the shipping cost/kit cost? Are they heavy?
