Details of swap:
Inchies are tiny little works of art. They are exactly 1" by 1". When grouped together make a wonderful work of art. For this swap, each person will make an alphabet of inchies- 26 letters, A to Z. You will then send various letters to different people within your group. Each group will consist of 7 people. The sending system will be as follows:

AGMSY S#1> S#2>S#3>S#4>S#5>S#6>S#7>S#1
BHNTZ S#1>S#3>S#5>S#7>S#2>S#4>S#6>S#1
CIOU S#1>S#4>S#7>S#3>S#6>S#2>S#5>S#1
DJPV S#1>S#5>S#2>S#6>S#3>S#7>S#4>S#1
EKQW S#1>S#6>S#4>S#2>S#7>S#5>S#3>S#1
FLRX S#1>S#7>S#6>S#5>S#4>S#3>S#2>S#1

This will insure that the styles in the alphabet are mixed up a bit. Don't panic if this looks a bit complicated, all will be come clearer once the groups are assigned.

You can actually start creating your alphabet of inchies right away BUT bear in mind that you may be partnered with someone(s) who require a family/child friendly set. That will be explained more in the questionnaire. (And the answer to the sectret question is 'too many') All mediums are welcome. Inchies need to be on a sturdy base such as card stock, cardboard, water color paper etc. If you plan to make fabric inchies please make sure they are stiffened with interfacing or some other medium.

When shipping your inchies, please take care to protect them. Have them enclosed in a notecard of some sort or an inside envelope. If they have a lot of texture or 3D material, please be aware that they may require more postage if they cannot go through the sorting machines. Check at the post office if you are concerned.

Pictures are required. Some like to post pics as they receive and others like to post after they received all of them. You may use a camera or a scanner.

(This post is a plagarization of LissaRedds plagarization of goatgoddess from past Inchies Swaps  )

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer (Nilmerg):

Name of swap: Alphabet Inchies
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address including the country:
Would you be willing to ship to an address outside your own country? YES, this is required
Confirm that are at least 16 years old (yes/no):
What is the answer to the secret question: How many swaps has Nilmerg organised and participated in this year?
(The answer to this question can be found within the swap details above.)

1. Do you require inchies that are family or child friendly?
2. If so, what does that mean to you? (ie: No profanity, no nudity, no vices, something for small children, ect.) Please don't hesitate to list something if you don't want to receive it.
3. If we don't get a good number of swappers to split evenly into groups of 6, would you consider doing 2 sets of alphabet inchies? Yes / No
4. Do you have any allergies?
5. Do you have any allergens in your home?
6. Anything else you'd like your partners to know?

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

Oh no, such a great idea for inchies. I have to go behind my bf's back and sign up, I'm only allowed to sign up for one swap at a time Tongue but it's a small swap, even the other one, and all papercraft... he will never know I'm crafting for two swaps Tongue

One question: there is no questions about themes or colours or anything of our preferences, should I add taht to the 'anything else I would like to let my partner know'? or should I wait till I talk with all my partners??

I just hope 10 days is enough to craft all those inchies, even if they are small I use a lot of time on them (sometimes being a perfectionsit is a curse Tongue )

The alphabet is the theme in this swap. You make a whole alphabet set and then that set is split up and sent out to your 5 partners. I have left crafting time a little short (and am happy to extend it if public opinion demands it) but you can actually start creating your alphabet now, so you will have nearer 3 weeks to create if you start now! The questionaire is more designed to make sure that you don't recieve something that you REALLY don't want to see rather than asking excatly what you do want to recieve. I find that you con often be plesantly surprised when you leave it to artists choice.

Please let me know if you have any concerns about the theme or the crafting time as I'm happy to make amendments if several crafters think it is necessary.

I was only thinking that if I should want a special colour theme or something more special. I want the inchies to get along Tongue
