I hope this is in the right place.  I did notice hats under the tuts in this category, but i get this area mixed up with sewing in general.

Has anyone used Butterick 4755, view A?  I used some of fav fabric, but my hat is just too small.  It basically just sits on top of my head.  I like it so much, I might wear it anyway.   I used medium which according to my measurements should have been just right.  Other M hat patterns are fine.

I will go back and completely study the pattern and see if I can locate my mistake. I did double check the seam allowance since some are 1/2" or 5/8".  Since I cut out the M pattern, I wonder if I can increase the size, but the top of the hat pieces need to be precise.   I will need to increase each piece by the same amount, obviously.

As with all of my projects, this one was not without flaw, but I still really liked this one.  The fabric was some that I hand marbled.  I had just a bit left after several projects, so I did make another hat with a section that required a small piece of fabric.  I do have some more marbled fabric, so I hope to try again.  In general, I have to work up my nerve to start a new project, though.
