I recently stitched this up for OnePinkHippo.  We're both Art History majors, so it seemed appropriate.   Cheesy


I definately had some awkward moments studying/working on homework in public. 

a close up:

I used mostly backstitch.  But I also used satin stitch and split stitch.  This was my first time using crayon tinting.  I think it turned out pretty well, though next time I'll be a bit neater with my strokes.  For some reason I thought the colors would melt together more when I set them with the iron. 
I debated whether or not to leave the letters white.  Ultimately I decided to let them be the color of the backgound they're in, because I thought it'd be too much white with the cat.


I shoved some cardboard in the back to hold down the fabric, and keep light from passing through and showing off any stray threads (shhh  Wink).
and i attached some ribbon for easy hanging:


I had fun doing it, and she loved it, so I'm pleased.   Grin
