I've really enjoyed making my entry. I work in a primary school and am currently on my summer holidays, it's been really good having time to get creative after a stressful school term!

This is a slightly altered quote from one of my favourite songs (Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zero's - Home)

This 'E' took the most time because the card was so thick, I had to hammer the holes out first. Very tedious!

Flower pot and mendhi.

Computer games and my home!

'O' is Alice in wonderland with the rabbit hole.. (my name is Alice)

In context.

I drew the letters freehand on to thick card. Then cut out and decorated. I wanted it to be personal, so many of the letters are based on things I love.

The tree branch is not included in this entry (i'm just running out of wall space!) that was crafted a few months ago. (It's made with thread wrapped around pins)

Thanks for looking!

love the song, love the letters.

how long did the project take you? did you plan out each letter before starting, or did you just hit the ground running?

i think this is awesome!

I agree, totally awesome! And a better alternative than those latex (or whatever they're made of) sticky quotes they sell everywhere now. Much more original. I love it!

Thank you! It's taken me just over a week, this weekend I got really in to it, it's good having a deadline to work to, I'm not always very good at finishing projects!

gbean - I just made it up as I went along to be honest, I didn't plan on making them so detailed, I was worried with the collaging that it might end up looking a bit like the nursery classroom I work in! But I'm glad I did, I think it turned out pretty grown up in the end  Tongue

ohh I love this!! It's so beautiful and unique and inspiring! I adore Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeros, I saw them at a music festival, they were so down to earth and amazing! they didn't have a set list or anything they were just like  "hey here's a new song we've never played before, I hope you like it" and Alix came down in to the crowd and wandered around singing.
