I joined the PotC swap, and this is one of the items I made for my partner.  It's the first time I've EVER wood burned something.  It was awesome!  It was hard to hold the saudering (sp?) iron and I didn't burn myself as much as I could have.  It's not perfect, but I'm still REALLY happy with the way it turned out!  Here's the pics!

Ohhhh! I really like it. I think it looks much better to not have the lines straight and perfect. It looks like a real pirate box! I'm sure your partner was thrilled.
