I have to say that this little guy presented a challenge! I was hoping to make him to scale with the Harry Potter dolls (Ron and Hermione) that I made earlier, but I just couldn't get much smaller. They're 13 inches tall and Dobby is 9/12 inches.You can't see under the pillowcase that he's wearing, but his body has lots of piecing to give him that shape. I worked from another artist's drawing of (naked) Dobby to craft my pattern.
His face is drawn on with a # 2 pencil and then shaded with Prismacolor pencils, and then the whites of his eyes and other details were painted in with acrylics.
I love the way he turned out!


Finger and toe nails made with layers of Mod Podge and paint
