So i belonged to the craftster forum a long time ago so long that i don't remember my user name nor the email i signed up with.  so I'm back.  recently seeing all the things a friend of mine from here has been doing for her soon to be born baby girl, I got into the swing of being a motherly house wife (I live with my boyfriend who has custody of his son since the baby's mother walked out, we've been dating since a week after his son was born, and I've been the only constant mother figure in his life, he even calls me mama)

when i first moved in and college ended for the semester I set to work repairing my boyfriend's slacks for work and repairing blankets and other items of clothing.  usually just a fallen hem here a broken seam there.  But last night I set to work on a pillow for the baby.  He just moved into a toddler bed yesterday and we have no pillows for him, so I asked if i could upcycle an old baby blanket, I know its not a new idea and I'm sure many of you have already done this but this is my first time in a long time making something from scratch, I also don't have a working sewing machine so this was hand stitched.

***sorry about the censoring on the picture is for the baby's safety I'm sure you understand

Looks great! I can't tell you hand sewed it at all. (you must have used tiny stitches!)

tiny whip stitch, sewed 3 sides left the blanket as a whole.  I did forget to sew up a part of the 3rd side before stuffing and left it unsewed as i stuffed so the 3rd stitch is on the outside not the inside
