I am currently making a bunch of stuff for the Portals and Friends swap and since I can't really squee too much about what I am making ( it does have to be a surprise after all) I thought I would post my Portal Cake Embroidery I made awhile ago.

I think this piece is a little sloppy looking, but I am just going to chock that up to my beginner skills and this was like my 3rd piece. (I've only been embroidering since April..)
and please pardon the not so straight outline.. that is due to me not being able to free hand a straight line to save my life and I was using a perm. marker to draw the pattern on (I know, I live on the edge).

Thanks for looking and I hope you like it.

I can't comment on the accuracy, I don't do portal, but it's certainly a bold design and I think the wonky border gives it a bit of charm.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

Yum, cake! It looks wonderful, and when I first saw it I thought the border was supposed to be wonky, to add to it's charm. Well done.
