Fullmoon... I can appreciate your feelings, however I think HE should be buying You the ring! Why don't you make him a bracelet, or a pendant? Just my thoughts on the subject.....

Maxxev - That puddlejumper plate is awesome!  You totally got thinking about making plates Smiley

Can you tell us how you did it?  Can you eat off of it, or is it for display only?

thank you.
the plate is premade bisque (country love ceramics? ) the design is painted in black underglaze then dipped in clear dipping glaze and fired so you can use it as table ware or for display.
'pebeo' make pens which you can seal in your average kitchen oven, though the result wont stand up to scrubing or scratches so its best used on display only items

So, it's been crazy busy in my household and I've been very MIA from all things that don't involve a paycheck or childcare but I just made it through the last six pages of the thread. I'm done with my swaps and am now on to planning my nieces birthday.
Her third birthday part is Oct. 15 and I'm going to make her dress-up items. I know for sure I am going to make a no-sew tutu. I have the pattern for a crochet kid crown but don't know if I have the time to make it. Any other ideas for super-easy pretend play clothes/accessories?

@Notknit----> painted half apron for "playing house", wand with ribbon streamers, different kinds of hats (pink bandanna for cow girl or a flowered straw hat, cheap .99 cent store silver jewel crown, a crocheted floral circlet for a fairy costume, Hand-done bejeweled baseball cap from thrift store?), Make some pretty jeweled and beribboned flip flop shoes?
Just a few options. Good luck ^^

You could make a crown out of felt instead, or one of the cone princess hats.

My husbands birthday is this Sunday and here are the things that I made for him.

1. Poppet. Her thread with more information about her is here.

2. Fuzzy Dork Dice (A D20 and a D8)

3. A mini messenger bag. It may be that it is too little. If it is that's ok. He and my 3 year old son share the same favorite color and he can pass the bag on to him. The bag was made from a tutorial at Punkin Patterns.

4. A Freezer Stenciled Shirt (The dice and + 1 part are an embroidery pattern from Urban Threads). The stencil came up a little on the top so the paint smeared a tad, but I think it still looks ok.
