One of my best friends requested an apron for her birthday, with the only requirement being a pocket. So, I looked through my patterns, and found one I liked. I'm pretty sure it's McCall's, and if anyone wants to know for sure, let me know, and I'll go dig it out of my pattern box.
I'll go ahead and apologize for the pictures. I didn't want to model them, and my hubby sure as heck isn't going to. And they're a bit large for my 2 year old. But back to my story...

I went to Joann's, and some fabric just jumped out at me. And this is what happened:

And the lining:

The colors are more vivid in real life, I promise. My living room has crappy lighting.
I'm so happy with how this turned out! And it was so easy! Except the straps. Ugh. Turning them right side out was so tedious. But I'm very happy with the result.

And secondly, my MIL has been dropping not-so-subtle hints that she wanted me to make her an apron for her birthday. It's rapidly approaching, so I decided I'd better get down to it. I made my hubby go with me to pick out the fabric, since it's for his mom. Her kitchen is done in an apple theme, so that's what we were looking for. He found the one bolt of apple fabric that Joann's had. It's a little much for my personal taste, but I have a pink plaid apron, so I don't have any room to talk Smiley
So here's the apple apron....

With long-ish ties, because my MIL is a little on the short... round side.

Comments and suggestions always appreciated!

haha. I thought they were tomatoes. I was wondering where in the world you found tomato fabric. Anyway, I like the apple apron with the black white check.

I like both aprons - and well done for matching up the apple print so well on the seams.  The black and white check was a good idea to stop it from being a bit too much.  I like the pattern for the first apron and if you do recall which pattern it was I would love to know.  Thanks
