Have been wanting to make this Cowl Pants or Dhoti Pants as they are called in India for quite sometime (ever since i made the first one for my DD some good 2 years back!) and at last managed to do so after seeing an article in local newspaper stating Dhoti Pants are such a rage now here in Chennai, where  i live! I am so glad i did sew one, planning to sew lots of them in summery cottons, they are so comfy, modest and yet Chic!

These pair of pants are actually easy to sew up once the pattern mystery is demystified. Here is the link to the tutorial to those who are interested.

Those are some comfey looking pants! I've never seen them before, but it looks like a lot of stitched-down pleats. Great job!
Enjoy wearing them!

very pretty.  I love the way it drapes.  The fabric is nice and summery too, but I can also see it in an elegant fabric for evening wear.

These look so cute on you!!   Cheesy  You have the perfect figure for them - I want to make me some, but I would not look as stunning as you do!  What pattern did you use?  I am really interested!  Cool

You did a fabulous job!  They look fun, funky, comfortable and fashionable!

Did you draw up your own pattern or is there a place you could share to read more about this style?

Your pants are soooooo pretty.  I have sewn a similar style of pants and they are so comfortable...I would love to see how you made yours! (I used a pattern for mine)
