I visited my brother for the first time in a couple years.  I sometimes forget how amazingly crafty he is.  My mom was blown away by the leather, snap on cover he made for his truck.  I didn't get a picture of that but I did notice his plain pine breakfast nook had gotten a killer makeover.  He wouldn't post it online but I thought it needed shared.

I don't have a before pic but I am sure most of you have seen the pine, corner tables with benches before.
Here is an after close up.  He sanded it and stained it mahogany.  Then he cut boards that fit into the frame for the seats and back.  He padded them and covered them in leather.  Sweet!

The padded panels are such a perfect fit, they aren't attached at all and can be pulled out (with a bit of effort).

I wish my dining room had that kind of furniture.  I just had to share.  Sadly, I may need my brother to decorate for me.  He has a better eye for design.

Whoa... I used to have that exact same corner bench set, table and everything. I hated how it looked so much (and was so uncomfortable to sit on) that I just left it out on the patio where it got ruined. Now I kinda wish I still had it to do this to it... lol. I had thought about stuffed bench pillows but this idea looks so much more classy.

Tell your brother he did a great job! Smiley

WOW, that looks amazing! It looks like something you'd see in a specialty furniture store, very sleek. Kudos to your crafty brother, tell him he did a great job!

That's the most epic breakfast nook I have ever seen. Very beautiful.  Thanks for sharing your brothers talent!

Thanks everyone!  I knew this just had to be shared.  He isn't really the type to show off his decorating skills.   Smiley

I'll let him know that other people liked it as well as I did.

Cool idea! I need that too! Our nook is tiny and you can really pack people in this - plus it's beautiful!
