"...It'd be a shame if something were to happen to it. SSsssSSsssss."

Anyway, for those of you that aren't nerdy enough to know, this is a Creeper from the game Minecraft, the most horrifying creature known to man.

He's 7 inches tall and made with some kind of tweed yarn. It was really weird trying to make, since I'm so used to making round amigurumi and stuffing as I go. But since everything in Minecraft is a cube, that method doesn't really work. I had to crochet each panel separately and then sew it all together. And sewing is the part I like least when it comes to amigurumi. >.< Anyway, he didn't come out as blocky as I wanted, probably because I stuffed him too much. :/

Oh, and the face is my first attempt at needle felting. How'd I do?

My 6 year old daughter recognized this!  She loves it!

After checking out Regretsy I'm pretty sure I could sell my stuff on Etsy.

Eek! They creep the heck out of me in game, let alone out of the game! If I saw him in real life I'd run away ^_^;;
Very well done and I love the choice of yarn you used for the texture!

"Why did the sheep vanish? Oh is that one? ...Why is it hissing? OHGAWD" <---My first reaction with a creeper, followed by horrifying events when I hid in my surprisingly easy to blow up house.

I love this! Would be perfect to sit on one's shoulders at a con or two haha.

Always looking for something to keep me busy.

My boyfriend thinks this is absolutely awesome :-) and I do too, although I have never played Minecraft myself.

This is great and it totally looks blocky enough. I was actually thinking about making one of these, but the thought process about how to execute it just discouraged me.

crochetspot has a tut on making cubes in one piece if you want it to be a really sharp edge just slip stitch or single crochet all the edges.

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to,
doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

Thanks everyone!  Grin

LollyPopRage, you're a much braver woman than I, as I still play on peaceful.

And thanks for the link, boogiedu! I'll try and see if I can work that method into my pattern. Smiley
