I made this for TheSapphireMoon in the I love Buttons swap. She makes alot of trees so I figured she must like them. After I decided on a tree I found out that she LOVED rainbows so I decided I had to have a rainbow with the tree. Next challenge the hoop, a round hoop wasn't cutting it so I had to go with an oval... so here it is 12 x 20! (figuring out a box to ship is another story). I tried using buttons for the rainbow and I just didn't like how it looked. One of my co workers suggested beads... beads, I have a TON of beads so I went to work! There are 2500+ seed beads in this hoop in the rainbow and the tree, it is a little blingy and I like it! TSM did too!

thousands of beads

Here are some close ups that TSM took

I really enjoyed making this! Thanks for looking!

The combo of the beads mixed in with the buttons and tinting is just great.  Love the giant oval hoop, too!

Thanks!

To do all the seed beads for the rainbow was about 25-30 hours, the tree buttons and beads were about another 20 hours, if I had to guess...... I LOVED doing this and now I need to make one for my granddaughter. She saw this when I was making it and asked if it was for her, she is 3 and really wanted it!

It looks like a labor of love!!  I love how the tree looks.  I agree, I wouldn't have the patience, either.  I bow to your skill!!
