Okay, so I don't know the terms, but I want to make some butterfly wings for a hairclip out of wire. And "fuse" it to a metal hair clip. Nothing bigger than 3 inches.

My dad bought me a butane torch with a removeable soldering iron tip and after that a different butane torch.
What else would I need and what is the best wire out there?  Huh

Or should I just blow it off and buy the expensive metal clay.

Thanks for help in advance.

You can do it.  You may need some solder, and flux.  I have not soldered with a butane torch.  I used a versatool with a soldering tip.  Try making the butterfly, with  the metal wire ends tight, no gaps.  Make sure your metal surfaces are clean.  Wherever you want the joins to be, add a dab of flux, and add the solder by melting it at the join with the soldering tip - the flux helps the solder to flow.  Same with joining to the metal hair clip.

This probably a bit more clear

Again, not sure the differences with the torch.
